Edward Blampied
Edward Blampied is an established Jersey-born artist. He studied Art & Illustration at King Alfred's College, Winchester, and made his debut illustrating "Frank's Fun Feast", a book of poems and quotations.
He has worked at the Jersey Pottery as a ceramic artist, eventually developing his own original style of painting which kick-started his career as a selling artist, working on both comical and classical styles of illustration , including sculpture.
His work has spread around the island, most notable perhaps is the Hungrey Man kiosk in Rozel Bay, which is covered in his work. He has also been commissioned by a number of local businesses on the Island.
"My art is a reflection of how I see life, colourful, sexy and very funny. I have no desire to paint the doom and gloom in this world. I see my painting as an escape, a doorway to a world I wish I lived in".
Edward Blampied is available for commissions. Click here to view more pieces of art by Edward Blampied. |
